Each year my parents host an Easter Sunday family gathering- after missing last year due to lockdown it was disappointing that due to my fathers admission to hospital that he wouldn't be at the head of the table.
The video call service provided allowed us to see him and chat and hopefully that connection will help give him some comfort as we cannot visit - we feel its vital to make this connection to aid his recovery. As an elderly very independent man going into hospital was a difficult thing to accept as he has lost his ability to be independent and we hope that some of that independence can be worked towards if we can connect with him and of course with all the great work the hospital staff do each day to aid his recovery.
