"Reassuring positive experience"

About: The Street Lane Practice

As a 67 year old patient I attended the practice for a second blood test. The first one several weeks ago was marginally abnormal (liver). I had spoken to a GP from the Practice a week earlier to discuss my blood test concerns - he was incredibly helpful, listening and reassuring. The blood test itself was one of the best I’ve had as the nurse took great care and I felt nothing (I have ‘difficult’ veins so this was very welcome). I checked online using my phone to see if the results had come through early and WOW. Not only were they back the same day, but had been reviewed by a GP and then posted online - what an incredible service. Less than 9 hours from my morning blood test. I’ve been with the Practice for over 20 years and I can’t fault it. From today’s experience in the really nice newly built big and airy waiting room (important with Covid, of course), talking to the receptionist, the great care from the nurse, and of course all of the follow up staff involved in processing the blood and results. Thankfully everything is now normal. As I’m sure many of you reading this know, taking lots of medications can cause problems with blood test results and the Practice always contacts me to remind me to have my 6 monthly blood test by text/email (good when you are getting older). So many many thanks to all of the staff at Street Lane Practice.
