This service has been invaluable to me at this time. Because of covid the visiting has been cancelled and my mother who is in her ninetys cannot use a mobile phone. The virtual visit with my mum was brilliant and I believe it lifted her spirits just to see us and have a chat, it was so good I have booked it every night in advance. The team who run the service are very polite and explain the whole service at the start. This would be a great service to keep even after visiting restrictions are lifted as not everyone can get to hospital every night but with this service you can. Thanks to all for convenient service.

Good afternoon

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the new Virtual Visiting Service in Southern Health and Social Services Trust. We recognise how difficult it is for families at the minute with the restricted visiting guidelines in place due to Covid 19. This new service has been established to try to support patients and families during this time. Your feedback just lets us see how the important is service is to you and your mother. To see that the service lifted your mums spirts is just wonderful.

I have personally shared your lovely comments with all the members of the Virtual Visiting Team. They are just delighted with this feedback.
