"District nursing team"

About: Antrim/Ballymena / District Nursing

(as a service user),

As a nurse myself I never imagined needing this service at 39, however a ruptured appendix and subsequent wound infection (in the middle of a pandemic! ) meant I required daily packing of my wound for several weeks which I was unable to do myself.   My local district nursing team attended to the wound for me at the weekend for several weeks in a row and were absolutely brilliant. Their professionalism was second to none, esp in difficult times, paired with their compassion, humanity and humour really helped me in my physical and mental recovery and I would have been lost without them and the treatment I also attended during the week. I cannot thank every member of staff that I came across enough.
