Last week I was admitted for an elective procedure through the department of scheduled admission department. When I arrived to Dosa, the receptionist and nurses were really helpful and kind to me making sure I was okay whilst waiting. Before I went for my procedure, the theatre nurse came through to my room and went over paperwork etc and then walked me through to the theatre. As I got into the anaesthetic room I was starting to feel really nervous. The theatre staff in theatre 7 (neuro theatres) were so nice and recognised how nervous I felt and explained everything to help keep me calm. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but I want to thank the nurse especially who held my hand whilst the anaesthetic was away to start as it was exactly what I needed at that point and I can’t explain how much I appreciate her doing that. They were a great team and next time I won’t feel as nervous as what I did.
