I received the majority of my care throughout my whole pregnancy at Peterhead maternity which I couldn’t fault at all. My midwife was Iona who was lovely and very helpful with any issues or questions I had. I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 28 weeks which I initially felt gutted about. I was contacted from Aberdeen and the ladies there informed me all about it and they were extremely helpful about the whole thing which put me totally at ease. I was in contact weekly with Una and Fiona who were lovely and I had regular growth scans up until 38 weeks. Luckily I managed to stay diet controlled throughout and therefor was able to just go ahead with my birth as normal but meant I had to give birth in Aberdeen. This was never an issue and the care I received from Aberdeen maternity was brilliant. All the staff who dealt with me from start to finish were really nice and my midwife Zoe who I had throughout my labour was really lovely and completely helped put me at ease throughout. I couldn’t fault the care I received from Peterhead throughout my whole pregnant and also from Aberdeen throughout the pregnancy diabetes and my labour. I gave birth to my beautiful healthy little girl in December 2020 💗.
