In mid-March my 18-month-old baby boy fell from our bedroom window 17 feet.
The ambulance came within 4 mins and the 2 paramedics were great. We went straight to the children's hospital and were met by the trauma team. They were amazing with my son, me and my husband. He was checked from top to bottom, x-rayed, CT scanned and luckily he only had a bruise to his lung and some bruising to his back. It's a miracle.
Fiona, Sharon, Mark and Elizabeth are the only names I remember. I didn't get all the staff's names but they were all fantastic. Even the ladies from the ambulance service waited to find out how my boy was. I can't thank all of them enough.
We were then admitted and taken to ward 3b where my son was checked on throughout the night and day and happily discharged the following night. The student nurses especially Ciara were great and the nurses and doctors.
We hope to not have to visit again anytime soon, but if we have to it would be here we would want to go to.
