"There's no other hospital I would rather be at"

Had surgery at Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske a few days ago.

From the moment I entered the hospital, I was met with care, compassion and professionalism. I was very anxious but was ready by all that I met and cared for me.

From the moment of admission, through surgery and recovery, I couldn’t have asked for more. Everything was clearly and plainly explained to me right from the get go. I knew what was being done and why and also by who.

Everything went fine throughout the surgery, with a few challenges for the anaesthetists but nothing they couldn’t handle. The team in the recovery unit couldn’t do enough to care for me, I can’t remember many names but one I can and that was Anthony, a new HCA. He stayed by my side the entire day.

The entire team at Treliske are just fantastic, no one wants to go to hospital but it’s a fact of life that we will end up in one at some point, there’s no other hospital I would rather be at. I spent quite some time, over the past 3 years in Treliske and have always received a second to none level of care. Thank you all so much.
