"Such kindness"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I attended the gynaecology department on 16/03/21 for a hysteroscopy, following an ultrasound scan the week before.

Prior to this I had experienced some post menopausal bleeding for approx 6 weeks.

I was extremely anxious -as was shown by my blood pressure -!

At all times the staff were SO kind & understanding, putting me at ease, caring for me afterwards with tea & biscuits!

Thank you all so much. Due to Covid, I had delayed informing my GP of the bleeding, , I am now awaiting results, so hopefully the next stage in my care will be as well supported! The surgeon doing the procedure said I may well need a hysterectomy.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. Please firstly, accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you on here. I was really pleased to see that all the staff you came into contact with when coming in for your Hysteroscopy were kind, understanding and caring.

I am responding to you as a member of the Patient and Family Experience Team here at the Trust but I have already shared your story with the Gynaecology department - I am sure they will be very pleased to read about your positive experience of their service.

I hope everything goes well with your on-going care.

Very best wishes,

Jess
