I was extremely scared during my visit to the antenatal clinic in the University Hospital of North Durham last week. There were two patients coughing in the waiting room, who should have probably been asked to switch to telephone appointments. There was a partner of a patient who was walking around unmasked. A group of staff members were chatting while congregated next to waiting area, making it impossible to social distance while proceeding to the examination room. Lastly, a student nurse was invited into the examination room without asking me if it was okay first. I am not okay with an extra person in the room during Covid times and neither the nurse or the student nurse were wearing visors.
