I had my first surgery today and I’ve always been scared of surgery. The orthopaedic I saw, the nurses on the day care unit, the surgeons and the Anaesthetists were the most friendliest, calming and reassuring people. I was treat with great care, constant assurance from all and complete understand that I was scared. The surgeon let me squeeze his hand until I fell to sleep and spoke so I wasn’t thinking about what was happening. I’m so happy and so so thankful to everyone who was involved and made me feel as good as I did. Amazing work and the most amazing people :)

Thanks so much for making some great comments. I am sure many people are scared of surgery, and so glad to see that the team was able to reassure you, they will be very pleased to see what a positive effect they had on the care you received. I hope you are recovering well.
