I have had pain in my knee for the last 2 years. I’ve been to my GP that many times I’ve lost count.
I’ve been to see an orthopaedic doctor who put me on more painkillers but no follow up appointment. I’ve been for 3 MRI scans, the most recent 4 weeks ago.
My GP told me the result showed my knee was in bits and that I would require surgery. He sent me to the Glasgow Royal who sent me back home with no treatment. I then got a phone call from one of your orthopaedic doctors who told me I had a 2 inch growth on my knee and that I should come to the clinic today to see a team of specialists who would look at my knee and decide what steps to take to help.
I was seen today by one person who said she couldn’t see anything wrong with my knee and didn’t know what I wanted her to do. I have been and still am in severe pain and seem to be getting passed from one place to the next with no help whatsoever.
I have never felt so let down by the NHS in my life. I know it is a difficult time with the virus but there are people still suffering from other illnesses.
