"Excellent Care"

About: General practices in Fife NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 2 (Emergency Surgical)

(as a service user),

I found myself unwell in 3/21 and telephoned NHS 24 where I spoke with a GP and was asked to telephone my GP on Monday morning. On Monday morning I did this and their was no clinicians on duty due to unforeseen circumstances. I was asked to telephone the next day. By evening my symptoms worsened, I telephoned NHS 24 again and explained that I tried to contact a GP. I spoke with a GP who wanted me to wait to be seen by my GP at my surgery, I said that I wouldn’t accept this that I felt I needed to be treated. The GP telephoned admissions unit 2 and it was agreed that I would go their at 8am in the morning. I was seen by Mr Robertson and I felt listened to and any rectal examination is not pleasant, he carried this out with the upmost dignity for me. I am got the treatment I needed and was able to be discharged. I am thankful to Mr Robertson and the Nursing Team who looked after me. Many thanks.
