"Pain knees and back"

About: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

(as a staff member),

My back seized. When back released my knees stopped allowing crouching with   constant pain and sudden shock waves of pain

I self referred for the issues with my knees after my back seized August 2020.

I was hoping to get my back and knees sorted. My knees will not allow me to get to anything down low, which I need to do for my job, I cannot crouch and cannot get up from the floor without something to lean on.

I was expecting hands on manipulation to sort the issues out. I got the initial assessment on my back with the result that the muscles were tight down one side. Hands were used to try and persuade the muscles to relax on my first visit but no manipulation after this. No hands on for the knees just exercises which helped a little. I carried out the exercises as directed on a daily basis with. It much improvement.

I eloped for results and answers to why my knees were not working. I am no further on, still in constant pain with both back and knees.

I was referred to a chiropractor at the same time as my physio, my back needed manipulating every time, but the Nhs will only pay for 6 sessions. I have several problems with my back and have osteoarthritis. The chiropractor tried her best.

Physio said a letter would go to my dr.

Dear Wreck

I am sorry you are still in pain from your back and knees. You mentioned that you have osteoarthritis. This is a long term condition which can be managed by keeping an active and healthy lifestyle. The main factors which may help you are exercise, maintaining good posture, and managing your weight.

I have attached a couple of links with some good advice on how to manage your osteoarthritis symptoms and some tips on managing pain.

Hope this helps.
