"Looking into the mirror"

About: Inclusion Isle of Wight Sevenacres (Inpatient Wards)

(as the patient),

To put a long story short.. i had serious issues with depression and was desperate to get help, but almost everyone turned there back on me. I fell from a grace , had a promising future, this however was crushed piece by piece and so turned to drugs and booze... things didn’t improve... i was just as depressed as before, except this time i was deluding and metaphysically blinding myself....

The key thing inclusion did for me was (metaphorically) hold the mirror up for me to look at myself with.. rather than me just snort whatever from it!

There is no magic button, but the tools to fix things are available and inclusion will help find the tools you need!

Aaron was real nice, personable, down to earth and professional person. He gave me the reassurance I desperately needed. I have massively cut down on my drug and alcohol abuse and have start to make progress with my true calling again.

I haven’t quite beaten my depression yet , but I am 100% closer to being it, which seemed impossible 2 years ago.

Aaron, thank you my friend! You have and will continue to help many people like me.

Hi Raising star

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some invaluable feedback, it is so important with regards to how we shape our service, ensuring we continue to offer the right support for people coming into treatment. From your feedback it sounds like you have been on a big journey so far and achieved a great deal. It looks like your hard work and commitment to your recovery is paying off. The group work program we offer really reinforces this and also gets you to get involved with peers which massively supports people in building a robust foundation from which they can build their recovery, in turn giving those tools you talk of, enabling us to address life’s ups and downs, substance free. We also have a post treatment group and a feedback Friday group where you can speak to our service user representatives and let them know how we are doing. If this is something you would be interested in then please contact a member of our team and we will support you with accessing this.

I will share your feedback with the team. We would like to thank you again and wish you luck with the challenges still to be faced in your continued recovery.
