"Lack of Cancer treatment"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cancer Services (Medical Oncology) Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans) Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Urology (Bladder and Urinary problems)

(as a service user),

I have been trying to get treatment for Lung cancer as Identified in an X Ray in Dec and Kidney cancer as Identified in a CT Scan at the start of February.

I have a proposed Vidio appointment for March which may lead to some treatment?

I will have been waiting from my urgent referral from mid Dec 2020 over 3 months to as yet not be  offered any treatment.

So all the politicians saying the NHS is open for business & that treatment is progressing is not happening.

Dear Kidney Cancer

I was really disappointed and sorry to read your comment on Care Opinion about accessing care and treatment following your diagnostic tests done in December 2020 and February 2021.

I do hope that you have an appointment arranged or managed to have a virtual consultation and that a decision was made on a treatment plan going forward for your diagnosis.

If you have not had contact from the hospital about this appointment or you have any matter of concern please do not hesitate to contact me on yvonne.wright2@nhs.scot or through switchboard on 0345 456 6000 and ask for Yvonne Wright, Chief Nurse

Sincere apologies sent to you, at this already stressful time for you and your family

Kindest Regards

Yvonne Wright

Chief Nurse
