"Staff are amazing...but the food 😔"

About: Watford General Hospital

I’ve been in the hospital for the last couple of days and would like to say the quality of care has been excellent. The nursing staff on the Gade Ward have been really attentive and friendly and I would really like to extend my thanks to them.

On the other hand the food which is served up is nothing short of an embarrassment. How are patients meant to get an appetite back and feel better as quickly as possible with the microwaved filth that is served up.

Sorry to be so brutal but quite honestly I feel like the situation is that bad. Perhaps some of the geriatric patients are less discerning but I’ve just had a conversation with a nurse who completely agreed with me.

So in short...

care = great

Food = worse than abysmal
