I have had prostate-related issues for nearly four years, was operated on in 2017 and have been carefully monitored in Bay Urology units ever since. I was seen by a urologist a few days ago who began the consultation with a concise and accurate synopsis of my full prostate history. The urologist did so without notes or reading from screens after having thoroughly reviewed and digested my data and entire medical record beforehand, and spoke fluently looking at me directly the whole time. It immediately gave me the feeling of being treated as an individual person by a specialist in my specific area of urology. The person's communication skills are excellent. Nor did I sense at any point in the consultation any haste on their part. I knew the urologist was paying attention to every detail, giving me a clear picture of where I am now with my progress and how they intend to proceed in the short to medium term future. I left Outpatients knowing I was in very competent hands and therefore feeling reassured. Having experienced nursing and clinical care over nearly four years with Bay Urology services I can confidently claim that it has been uniformly first rate, and that the urologist I saw complements an already outstandingly good team.
