"Compassion Fatigue"

About: Community Partnerships Service

(as the patient),

Just been diagnosed with compassion fatigue and it makes complete sense as I look back over the last few years of caring for others in need and it all becoming too much for me. I felt exhausted, in constant pain, suffered insomnia OCD thoughts and complete lack of ability to perform daily chores and fulfill my job as a teacher. This all came to a head last Summer and I have received excellent care from the St Andrew's Therapy Clinic. I can now see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
