About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Breathing and lung problems (Respiratory Wards 7a, 7b, 7c & 7d)

(as a carer),

My Papa got admitted to ward 53 with COVID 19. Whilst being on the ward he received good care and got quickly got discharged home to be with my Nana. 

He got great care by the doctors who quickly noticed why his blood sugars where high and sorted the issue. Papa enjoyed the meals and many cups of tea he got and enjoyed the ward area as he was in a room with 5 other patients so he felt like he had lots of company.  

Our only improvement would be that it was hard to get through to the ward and my Papa was left to update the family. Nana and Papa were thankful for the 'angel nurse' Maisy that gave helpful updates and advice to my Nana on the day Papa got discharged. 

Thank you to ward 53 for helping my Papa get home safely!

Dear Marthyjon

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding the care of your Papa whilst he was an inpatient with ward 53, I am pleased to hear that he received such good care and is now safely back home with his family. I will ensure that this is shared with Senior Charge Nurse and the wider team within ward 53 who will be delighted to hear such lovely feedback whilst recognising your suggestion for improvement. Once again thank you for sharing your experience and I would like to wish your Papa well in his continued recovery at home
