"Fantastic kind and prompt treatment for a minor…"

About: Penrith Hospital

I attended the MIU today after falling off a wheelie bin and splitting open my chin. My husband called the centre to explain the situation and they asked us to pop straight down. I was admitted promptly, and after the necessary covid check I had hardly sat down before I was called through. There is not a big enough thank-you to praise the ladies who treated me with such kindness and compassion and first rate care. I had not wanted to go to A+E with such a minor wound, and am very grateful for the services of a local urgent treatment centre. My only request is for the bell button to sound in the corridor when you press it. I thought I had not done it properly so pressed it again, but I did not mean to try and rush the staff. Thank you again for patching me up.

I am very sorry that you fell off a wheelie bin and injured you chin…I do hope it wasn’t too painful.

I do want to thank you for taking the time to give our staff at Urgent Treatment Centre in Penrith (formally known as MIU) this lovely feedback though. All of our staff work really hard to provide this level of care and they will be delighted with your comments.

I will pass your comment to the estates team who look after the hospital to make them aware about the bell sound...

Best regards,

Alison S-D
