"Care from staff"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Endocrinology and Diabetes

(as the patient),

After being diagnosed with type 1, and then the pandemic hit, I could have been left feeling alone with my diabetes however the staff in the diabetes department at ayr hospital especially Ruth has been there for me every step of the way. Organising virtual appointments just for a check in and to answer any questions I have had and give me advice on my ratios and diet she has been great. People I speak to with type 1 make out it is the worlds worst thing and I fortunately disagree and feel it’s not the end of the world and I find it very easy to cope with, I feel that’s all down to the support I have had from Ruth.
