"Cancer"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Gastroenterology Queen Margaret Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

Having been diagnosed with cancer during the height of the Pandemic, the timely schedule of all the appointments I had to attend was second to none.

I am truly grateful for the care I received from the initial consultation with Mr Waterston and his team at the QMH (Alison and Deborah), Dr Cartilage and the team at Ninewells in Dundee.

Alison would be there to greet you as you walked along the corridor to your appointment with a big smile and a warm welcome. Both girls during the appointment made you feel at ease and would help to ensure that my dignity was intact throughout. There was never a problem with me having to return numerous times to get my wound drained. Doctor Cartilage was always gentle.

They are all a credit to the profession and should be recognised for their professionalism and caring manner.

My journey with Cancer is not over and I hope the next team are half as caring and supportive as this team.
