About: Darent Valley Hospital

Anything else?

I had my gall bladder removed on Friday 4th January and felt that I should contact Darent Valley to thank everyone who was involved. Firstly to the surgeon who introduced himself and explained everything fully which put my mind at rest. Then the staff who looked after me and took me to the theatre were extremely kind and understanding and nothing was too much trouble. The anaesthetist was very reassuring and his happy face made me feel safe too! The staff in the recovery ward were very sweet and comforting. Once on the ward the nursing staff were excellent including night staff, again nothing was too much trouble for them and they were extremely kind to the older patients too. At all times I was informed of what was going on and what I thought was going to be a scary time and could not have asked for more. I must also include the staff who bought round the food and drinks too who were all ver polite too. The ward, toilets and washing facilities were clean at all times. All very much appreciated. Thank you.
