"No communication at all! "

About: Tennant Street Medical Practice

My mother is 74 with heart failure and housebound, my father has visited the surgery 4 times to ask when she is getting her vaccine and all they say is “ she’s on the list” no contact with my parents at all! Rude and unprofessional receptionist. Yes there’s a pandemic going on and you’re extremely busy but no patient care whatsoever, no communication. I have rang myself several times and phones constantly engaged, but it’s always like that! Appalling service. A letter was handed to the surgery manager regarding this and still no response!

This matter has been dealt with to everybody's satisfaction. We do not contact patients who are housebound to give them a date for the vaccine because if they are housebound they will be in. The amount of resource it takes to vaccinate a handfull of housebound patients is phenomenal at a time when we are already working extra hours to cover the extra work created by the vaccine clinics.

I also did respond to the letter the very next day and the matter as I said was resolved. Your mum was on the list and we will be delivering the vaccine as soon as we can. We do not hold a stock of vaccines so have to wait for delivery which is not necessarily reliable.
