"My daughter's operation at Dr Grays hospital"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Paediatric Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My 9 year old daughter was admitted to Dr Grays with stomach pains. After various tests and bloods it was decided that her appendix needed to come out.

Thankfully Aberdeen allowed us to be able to have the surgery done at Dr Grays. That was a massive relief especially when only 1 parent is allowed in at a time.

Dear Hannie8402

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your daughters surgery for appendicitis. I hope that she is now home and on the mend.

Visiting has been very challenging for families and staff during COVID and I am glad that by having surgery at Dr Gray's that this has relieved some of the added anxieties and pressures that come with the restrictions and transfer. Hopefully if the numbers of COVID cases continue to drop we will be able to reduce the restrictions soon.

Hope your daughter has a speedy recovery and can get out and about soon to enjoy the improving weather
