"Inclusion Thurrock CBT Councelling"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as a service user),

At first I was very sceptical of signing up to go through a very traumatic experience but deep down I know this was what I needed to do. I signed up to inclusion Thurrock and had my first meeting extremely nervous and almost wanted to cancel. I choose to just push through my meeting we’re with Joanne and she put my nerves to rest and was the nicks and helpful person I had spoken to and felt at ease talking her through everything I had been through. The tips and advice that she gave me worked amazing and after 14 session I was able to work through memories, dreams and difficult situations I was dealing with. I have come away now knowing that the support I was given that I’m in a better state of mind and most definitely would not of got this far with her support. If anyone is thinking of signing up but worried at the beginning this was completely normal but the comfort and understanding of the people that work there is fantastic. I thank inclusion Thurrock for all their support and help and knowing that if I ever feel like I might need some extra help I would definitely return. Thank you so much

Dear Mrs nm,

Thank you for sharing such an honest experience with us. I am so sorry to hear that you have been through a very traumatic experience, but am so pleased that you received the support and help you needed.

Sharing how sceptical and nervous you was before starting your therapy is so important as many clients will feel this way too when beginning their journey. Therapy can feel daunting if it is something that we have not experienced before and in your case, it was to open up about a very traumatic experience which isn't easy to do. You should be so proud of yourself for pushing through those initial nerves and accomplishing 14 sessions, that is incredible.

It sounds as though you put in a lot of time and work into your sessions in order to be to begin working through distressing dreams, memories and situations. I am pleased you have found Joanne's advice helpful and have taken away her tips and guidance, she will certainly be pleased to hear this! This really is the beginning for you and it sounds as though you have made so much progress already.

Thank you for providing reassurance to clients who may be doubting if therapy is right for them, I am sure this will encourage many people to seek help if they are questioning whether to or not.

I wish you the very best of luck for the future. As you rightly said, if you ever need any further support, please do not hesitate to return to Inclusion.

Take care,

Jade
