"COVID 19 stay in hospital"

About: Physiotherapy / Physiotherapy (inpatients) Victoria Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as the patient),

I unfortunately caught COVID 19 at the of October 2020. It got so bad I had to be taken to hospital on the 7th November where I was taken to ICU and put on a ventilator that night I was in ICU for 15 days. Then taken to ward 53. I was there for 2 weeks. While I was there I had support from pyso and when I was leaving I had support from OT with equipment to help me at home.

I was treated with so much amazing care, from all staff they were so helpful, as I couldn’t do anything for myself, they treated me with so much care I felt they help keep my dignity. The pyso’s helped me walk again with so much encouragement. I went from a sling to a stick amazing. I have never meet some many wonderful people, including the cleaners, who always said hello to the wonderful food.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart thanks to you all I am a COVID survivor.

I can see from your post that you really appreciated the support and care you received from the Physiotherapist and the Occupational Therapist and I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to them.

I am pleased that they were able to support you at what has been an extremely difficult time for you and I know they would want me to wish you well with your continued recovery.

With kind regards

Dear Darling60,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your kind words on Care Opinion.

Its heartening to know your Covid hospital experience was indeed a positive one and delightful to know you felt well cared for by all the staff you came into contact with

A stay in Intensive Care can be harrowing and difficult to recover from, so its lovely to hear you are recuperating well.

I will pass on your thanks to the staff and wish you well in your Covid recovery.

Take Care,

Kindest regards

Colette
