"what wonderful staff"

The medical team who assessed and managed me were without exception polite and understanding as I was very concerned regarding my symptoms. I had speedy and thorough treatment, the consultant came and advised me the course of the investigations within a few minutes of entering the ward, and clearly outlined all of the options and the rationale for treatment.

Without exception and this includes the wonderful nursing staff who demonstreated exceptional nursing and communication skilss and could not do enough to make my admission comfortable, despite the fact that other patients required greater assistance. The tea lady who made me extra drinks, the therapists who came to see me all of who explained their role with clarity and great care. The porters who took me to a range of different scans and investigations. The technicians and radiologists and I met several of these members of staff during the course of my time in hospital.

Every body gave excellent care and service and treated me as a person not a patient, every body did their job with efficiency but also 'went the extra mile'. Also I enjoyed the food it was well cooked and well presented. In all, all of these staff made what was to me a traumatic episode much less stressful.
