My mum was under the care of Acute Care at Home Team.  Even though she had Covid in November the team came into her home and treated her with the upmost care and compassion. Every team member from the Consultant, nurses, Dr, ot, physio, dietician and pharmacists they were all wonderful...all coming into mum home with full PPE but making every effort to communicate with her whilst she was quite poorly through their PPE to make sure she understood who they were.   As a family we were very afraid but the team took time to explain things to us and we very confident in everything they did. To have this service at home where mum could be treated in her bedroom was just amazing. It kept her out of hospital and safe with us. At 86 she has made a great recovery but we still are getting follow up care from the services. What a wonderful team. Thank you to each one of you.

Thank you for providing this valuable feedback on the Acute Care at Home service. I am glad you felt the team treated your mum with care and compassion and they made every effort to communicate with her despite the challenges of wearing PPE. I am glad the team were able to allay your fears and keep her at home where she made a great recovery.

We are committed to providing this care in peoples homes as an alternative to attending hospital. Thank you for recognising the value of the service. I will ensure the team are fully aware of your positive experience.
