"Not great with Covid safety measures"

About: St Johns Way Medical Centre

I had to visit the GP in January of 2021. Before entering, I was asked if I had any Covid symptoms which I answered no and I was let in, however, my temperature was not checked at any point during this visit - even though there were signs of mandatory temperature checking before entering the building. I was kept with 5 other patients in a relatively small waiting area until I was called to see the GP. My visit with the GP went well, but I had to carry my urine sample with me from the bathroom to the GP's office, which I found very unhygienic.

Dear patient,

I can confirm that the correct screening method was used. We no longer check temperatures as this guidance was changed by NICE, I am sorry that you were confused by old signage and I will ensure that this is removed. Our waiting room is not small and can safely accommodate 12 patients at a social distance, there is clear signage showing where you can and cannot sit.
