About: Spire Murrayfield Hospital

I have just returned home having undergone surgery as a day case patient from Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral.

I arrived at 07.30. First stop was the meet and greet by a bright upbeat polite member of staff took all Covid measures temp / mask/ questionnaire etc . He was brilliant at hitting the exact right note to relax and reassure prior to the entrance of the hospital proper

After a short wait in the communal waiting room a member of staff collected me and took me to may day case cubicle , again pleasant upbeat and reassuring.

Initial pre op checks were again all done with a smile and I really got a sense to the level of pride and professionalism that was taken in their work.

Prior to being taken to theatre my consultant Mr Nambiragan came in to the cubicle. He was warm friendly and extremely personable . He gave a full clear and unambiguous explanation of the procedure and answered every question in a calm and reassuring way.

I was then visited by the anaesthetist who was brilliant. Her manner was reassuring and calming

Once in theatre the theatre nurse was again brilliant at reassuring me and explaining exactly what was being done he was focused and friendly

In post Op recovery the nurse who attended me again showed the same fantastic levels of care and attention I had experienced from first walking into the hospital.

I asked him what he enjoyed about his job and his reply was that he got great pleasure in being a part in helping people find their way back to gaining full health and just seeing people smile was a great reward.

Once back on the day ward I was soon able to be discharged again the level of 1 - 1 personal care I was faultless

I owe a great debt of gratitude to Mr Nambiragan and every single member of the Spire Team who looked after me today. From arrival to departure they were wonderful , thank you so much,
