About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

999 call for acute abdominal pains. A doctor was arranged via the ambulance staff to administer pain relieve. Doctor proceeded with this and also took bloods and arranged for a scan for my arrival at A & E. In less than 6 hours all necessary procedures had been carried out and results received. I was then transferred to Balmoral ward 16 for observation. From the arrival of the ambulance and up to my discharge the following day all staff were kind, caring, reassuring and cheerful. They were professional, dedicated ant treated me with dignity at all times. Please pass on my thanks and gratitude to all concerned. How lucky we are to have the NHS who are working in such difficult and unforeseen circumstances.
