About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / X-ray and Scans The Limes Medical Centre

(as the patient),

Yesterday I phoned to see if I could get some clarification on the 2 MRI and 1 CT scans I recently had. Was asked to phone back this morning at 8 am to speak to the doctor. I called at 7. 55am and surgery was closed so I left it to exactly 8 am and called again and was informed I was number 20 ith in line. After waiting 17 minutes I got through only to be told no appointments were left  as Doctor only worked half day today. Talking to someone regarding my scans is important to me as doctor at canterbury told me Cancer could be reason for my issues. Why did the reception not know when I phoned on Monday that doctor only worked half day on Tuesday or was I just being fobbed off.

We are very sorry to read that you have experienced difficulties with your GP surgery. Regrettably we can not assist with these and would encourage you to contact the Practice Manager for the surgery or alternatively NHS England who govern GP surgeries nationally. We can of course assist with concerns relating to hospital services and would encourage you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Team (PALS) on 01227 783145 or via our email address, which is ekh-tr.pals@nhs.net.
