"Elected caesarean"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

(as a service user),

I gave birth to my daughter on in January at Glasgow Queen Elizabeth Hospital and can’t thank the staff enough within Day Gynaecology for their care, compassion and professionalism.

I would like to mention especially Michelle, Marj, Louise, Karen, Viktor, and the kind orthopaedic surgeon whom was receiving training to become an anaesthetist, whom helped to distract and comfort me during the procedure.

All are a credit to the NHS and are doing an incredible job. I am making a quick recovery and my daughter is thriving.

I also be received great care in ward 47, where staff work extremely hard.

Dear Lotbp47

Firstly congratulations to you on the birth of your baby daughter. This must be a very special time for you and all the family so congratulations from myself and everyone here at NHS GGC.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of using the Maternity Services at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I was very touching to read how the staff were able to comfort you throughout your journey and how you hold every member of staff you came across in such high regard.

I will be delighted to pass on your comments to the staff involved who I'm sure will be glad to hear how well you and your baby daughter are doing.

I would like to wish you a speedy recovery and thanks again this means a lot to the staff in this difficult time.

Kind regards

Kevin
