"Maternity care"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Maternity Care University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as a service user),

My pregnancy was with the community midwife team and Wishaw hospital and never again. I honestly wanted another baby and this feeling has been taken from me, I haven't been listened to, ignored, and not offered help in anyway for my mental health. Triage was just as bad, was left in worse condition than when I went in bleeding etc.

Family members are livid at the treatment received, mental health more so, as it's at all time high with covid and lockdown and to be ignored at all is dangerous in my opinion let alone being pregnant too.

Worst maternity treatment I have ever had in my life honestly have no idea the harm caused to my family, my kids, my unborn baby and my mum etc due to their attitude towards it all.

Dear Dragongirl4,

I am so sorry that you are extremely disappointed with your care and feel so let down. We would like to be able to rectify this both in the Community and Inpatient services.

I am on annual leave until Monday the 15th of February. Are you able to telephone me please next week and I can look into your care.

Kind Regards

Heather Weir
