"In excellent hands"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery Queen Margaret Hospital / Theatres Queen Margaret Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Went in on the 3rd Feb 2020 to have the procedure carried out on my prostate using the new cutting edge technology off Green light laser prostatectomy. From arriving until it was time to leave, every one   of the staff were excellent and very reassuring. I was going in thinking I was going to have a general aesthetic but the anaesthetist explained to me about a spinal anaesthetic, have to admit I was a little bit apprehensive about it. Turned out it was no problem whatsoever. Just took a bit of time to get the feeling back in my lower part of my body. As I say, I was well looked after with no complaints whatsoever. P. S. the trainees were very good as well, if they are to be our nurses in the future then we will be in excellent hands.

Dear Alfaromeo

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback regarding your recent visit to the day surgery unit, I am glad to see that you had a positive experience, our aim is patient centred care and it looks like we got it right for you. I hope your recovery is going well. I will pass your comments on to the team and make sure the student nurses are aware of your kind words.

Best wishes

Nola
