My operation was conducted in the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh, but pre- and post-care was in the Borders General Hospital. Of the 37 days I was in hospital more than 30 were in the BGH. I returned a month later to the BGH for another 5 days.
Every aspect of care was outstanding, but I must single out the nurses: nothing was too much trouble; it was as though we were members of the same family. Every day was a series of laughs. Another aspect that deserves special mention is the food: nutritious, generous, tasty, like Granny makes it.
I can find nothing to criticise.
