(as a service user),

I was admitted to a& e after attempting to take my only life. Now I’ll be honest I don’t remember my whole experience but I do remember the kindness and compassion I received from every nurse I met in ICU. I will be forever grateful to them for everything they did for me. Thank you

Dear NLe2021,

I am so sorry to hear of the circumstances that took you into hospital.

Many people don’t remember much about an experience in ICU but they do remember the kindness and compassion, which makes the work our nurses do so important. They will be touched you have taken the time to say thank you.

I hope you are on your way to having the support you need to move forward and I wish you well in your recovery.
