"Coronavirus and pulmonary embolism"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I just want to flag up the wonderful care I received recently - from the paramedics who picked me up from home on 12th January (calm and professional), to the EM registrar at WGH. (Ryan?), who sorted me out & kept me well informed about what was happening.

It’s hard to single out people who were particularly helpful, but Drs Bell, Dr  Dagg and Staff nurse McLean, who looked after me in ACCU were fantastic in their attention towards me - it was very much appreciated in the rather anxiety provoking circumstances.

I worked for the NHS for 38 years, & was very proud of the way staff dealt with me. Wishaw should be proud of these staff, & of the teamwork that was evident across the disciplines.

Dear PGB

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us here on Careopinion. I am so sorry to read that you had reason to utilise our Services and those of the wider NHS and I do hope that you are now feeling better and on the road to a full recovery.

I am however really pleased to read about the positive experience that you have received from the staff involved in your care, particularly our crews:)

If you would like, I can pass on your comments to the staff involved. We would be more than happy to do this. You can do this by completing our feedback form here and someone will be in contact. If you do choose to complete this online form, it would also be really helpful if you could make reference to your CareOpinion username so that if someone other than me receives it, they can easily link it to your story.

I would like to wish you all the very best and thanks again!

Kind Regards

Alan
