"Consistently encouraging"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire

(as a service user),

I have been using cannabis since I was 14 on and off as it has helped me feel calm and relaxed. My child was removed by police protection. I feel angry, punished, confused 😕 and a lot of pain. Peter as my recovery worker has been there consistently encouraging me, empathetic and honest. Peter has gone above and beyond to support me with MH, Cannabis reduction, housing and listen when I just need to rant or cry. I can honestly say without Peter not sure my progression would be this far along. Peter believes in me and that is a good feeling.

Thank you for your recent post and for sharing your story.

It sounds like you are going through a very difficult time but I am so pleased that you have been able to reach out for help and that you have received the support you have needed from your recovery worker, Peter. It is so important in recovery if you are able to share what is going on for you with someone who will listen, encourage and offer the guidance you need.

I wish you all the very best in your recovery and hope things improve for you soon. I will pass on your comments to Peter and the Aldershot Team.

Keep safe and well.
