"OT activities infrequent but calming"

About: Community Therapy Services / NNE Community Therapy

(as a service user),

Activities were infrequent but well delivered and enjoyable. It was difficult to predict when they would be, and due to Ko'Vid 19 that was even more true, as a result there were long periods of no activities, I understand the reason for this but it did not help mental health outcomes. When on, I found activities calming, focusing and very helpful.

Hello, my name is Jane Danforth. My role involves helping our service users, volunteers and staff to understand that Notts Healthcare wants to hear stories about our services. We reply to every story and it really helps us to improve what we do, how we do it and to hear about what works well too.

Thank you so much for your story. Firstly, I must apologise for the lengthy delay in responding to your post. I hope that the team will reply also.

I'm glad you found the activities enjoyable but I was also sorry to hear that there was long periods with no activities.

I will pass this onto the team to let them know it didn't help with your mental health. It's clear from reading your feedback that the activities made a difference to how you felt and really helped.

I hope you are feeling better and continuing to improve.

Kind Regards

Jane
