I've been regularly sent for blood test for various reasons in the last few years and had constant problems with the QE2 phlebotomy. There were occasions where blood tests that were ordered were missed and therefore not done at the right time. In the latest occasion it turned out that they have already took blood for tests that should have been done at a later date. This mistake could have been easily avoided by simply asking me, especially that I only provided them the form for the tests that needed doing at that point... but clearly communication with patients is lacking. So overall, plenty of room for improvement in terms of communication and attention to detail. The reception staff is also generally rather rude with patients and unhelpful e.g. there was no help to rectify the mistake described above.
