"Superb care"

About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My pain was terrible before I was admitted to St Luke's Hospice.  At the hospice I have received really wonderful care and I am now being discharged back home with my pain better controlled: it is just a slight ache now.  The care at the hospice has been superb with the staff always seeing what else they can do for you.  I am a bit anxious about how I will manage my medications at home but the staff have helped by ensuring I go home with a dosset box so that I know what medications to take when.

When I was young my Dad was ill and I prayed for him to get better.  As I have become older I have found there are angels in life and I have found them here at the hospice.

Thank you for your kind words regarding your stay with us on the inpatient unit.

Managing a person symptoms is a key area of the care we provide. So it is good to hear that we were able to get your pain under control.

I will make sure that your feedback is shared with the team.
