"Poor quality of service "

About: Dr B Das' Practice

Given wrong time for flu jab over the phone, so missed appointment

On using the intercom service to try and gain entry waited 10 minutes and no reply accessed the surgery when someone left told them at reception that there were about 4 or 5 people waiting outside informed that the receptionist was on the phone no one else would answer the intercom at this point he came off the phone and still didn't answer the system I was in ther for about 10 minutes and on leaving people still waiting outside and again not one member of staff considered answering the system I told the receptionist that they were still waiting and got no reply...

I found this a very poor service and the staff on duty not to seem bothered about the people who had now been waiting for over 20 minutes.. I always thought that doctors surgeries were people could get the help they needed and made to feel appreciated.. Unfortunately not in this case.. I have no doubt that my comments will make any difference at all to the way you run your practice. Also I tried to ring the surgery to confirm my appointment but no one

Answered the phone so unable to check my appointment time gave up after 15 minutes of trying if I was able to get through I would have known the correct time you had me down for... Did not make another appointment for my flu jab as I felt very frustrated at want I had experienced..

Hello

I really feel sorry for your bad experience, It is difficult time not only for you and us but for the entire world, Intercom system is new system installed to make our surgery COVID safe, as you know there is National lock down and we still have to work to look after our patients and staffs, we always try to keep at least two person at reception beside the management staffs, probably you were caught at the busy time of the day. As you know there are two practices in the same building and we do not want any extra person inside the building, if Our surgery environment becomes COVID unsafe then probably we will run into bigger difficulty in managing our patients and staffs which is our first Priority. I must admit the phone line has been extremely busy lately in-spite of our new phone system.

Please accept our apologies, we will try to learn and improve with your experience.

Dr Anurag Gupta
