"Appreciation for the thorough care received"

Recently I had a health scare and was admitted into hospital. The emergency department was under pressure and staff were doing all they could. I would like to thank all the staff in the emergency department that cared for me. The expertise of the doctors I saw, the attention to detail while assessing me and the compassionate manner was reassuring. The nurses regularly checked on me, their kindness was a comfort, and their professionalism when they had so many people to care for was impressive.  The radiologists had an excellent manner, and that helped me feel at ease despite the worries of the tests. I had to wait for a bed in the ward to become available and the nurses cared for me during this and made sure I was doing ok. 

When I was admitted the nursing and medical staff on the Ward monitored and cared for me well and I very much appreciate this and thank them for their tirelessness. I would like to thank the host of staff that helped look after me in the Ward, the catering staff and the porters were so friendly.  I would especially like to thank the Consultant for his thorough consideration of my symptoms and for the tests needed to inform my diagnosis. His pleasant manner, knowledge and attention to detail was a comfort and made me feel I had received excellent care. Thank you.
