"difficult to access"

About: The Dekeyser Group Practice

I have to say firstly that I have never had a bad experience at this practise when I have been able to get a suitable appointment. The staff are helpful and friendly and the whole place is really well organised. It has never been easy to access if working full time as there hasn't, until very recently, been any out of hours access, the surgery is open weekdays from 07.00 to 18.30 which sounds good but I set off for work at 07.00 and work until 18.00 in Wakefield so often miss these hours. I've always thought one late clinic a week exclusively for none urgent patients who work would be great. But since the world went mad with covid it has been even more difficult. I have rung various times and not got an answer and tried to book an appointment online but there are very few and none that have been suitable, there are none at all again today. I have a minor issue which I got a dermatology referral for pre covid, this treatment didn't work so I just want a review for an appropriate referral, though it's minor, it's important to me and the delay in being able to access the GP to get a referral is frustrating. All this said, well done for everything you have done during the awful pandemic to all healthcare staff, GP's, nurses consultants, admin staff, cleaners, pharmacies and everyone else who contributes to our wonderful (if a tiny bit frustrating at times) NHS.
