About: University Hospital Ayr

(as a carer),

I am incensed that Ayr Hospital are placing patients in Wards with more clinically vulnerable patients without a negative COVID-19 test. I think this is a risk to patient safety but they do not seem to care.

Thank you for your post. Please allow me to reassure you that all staff in NHS Ayrshire and Arran are following the appropriate guidance when admitting or transferring patients in our care. Where it is not possible to get a result prior to a necessary transfer, full infection control guidance is followed to minimize the risk to all patients.

All staff are doing their best to provide high quality and safe care to all our patients.
