"Failure to deal with prescriptions "

About: Woodsetton Medical Centre

I appreciate that we are in unprecedented times, but when you have been prescribed medication, and you use the correct procedure for repeat prescriptions then you expect it to be done. My last 3 prescriptions have had to be chased, by not only myself but also the chemist. December 2020 I was left 11 days without diabetic medication, again December 2020, a prescription was refused as I had already received one previously (script 1), although I had borrowed from the chemist and had to pay back. January 2021 script ordered, 8 days later still no prescription-guess what I run out of medication Tuesday for 3 items and 3 more Friday. Appalling service, no duty of care, and receptionists with attitude, who like to blame the doctors. Will be changing surgeries as soon as possible.

I am sorry to hear the issues you have faced regarding your prescriptions. All repeat prescriptions take 72 hours, I cannot give a reason as to how this has happened or why without more information, therefore I ask that you contact the Practice Manager to discuss further
