"Lovely nurse put me at ease during cervical smear…"

I wanted to leave some feedback about the nurse who carried out my cervical smear test this week. She was absolutely lovely and really helped to reassure me and put me at ease, despite my nerves and discomfort. She made the whole (let’s face it, never the most pleasant!) experience so much more manageable because she was caring, professional and listened to my concerns and worries. I didn’t feel rushed despite the fact she no doubt has additional cleaning responsibilities in between each patient. Health care professionals are doing such wonderful work and to keep this service going during the pandemic is important and impressive. People are so quick to complain when they’re dissatisfied but forget to praise a job well done, so I wanted it on record that this nurse’s overall manner, kindness and professionalism were exemplary and really helped me to feel reassured during the appointment.
